The transformation of Přemyslovců Street in the Mariánské Hory district of Ostrava includes a new public space with blue-green infrastructure that retains rainwater where it falls. The scheme also features a new avenue of honey locusts (Gleditsia). In total, 60 new trees have been planted, which, together with the perennial borders, create a more pleasant streetscape and improve the local microclimate.

Rain gardens capture surface water, allowing it to infiltrate gradually and be used by the planting. The open crowns of the honey locusts provide light, welcome shade in summer and help reduce overheating along the street.
