Quercus ×hispanica 'Ambrozyana' Quercus ×hispanica 'Ambrozyana'

Fagaceae

Quercus ×hispanica 'Ambrozyana' Quercus ×hispanica 'Ambrozyana'

Small tree with round crown, to about 6 m. This tree was also described as a cultivar of Q. cerris because of the much closer similarity between the leaves. The glossy, dark green leaves are 7 to 9 cm long with a thin point on each lobe. Depending on the climate of the site, the leaves are evergreen to semi-evergreen. During severe cold, the leaves turn brown in the winter, only falling when the new leaves emerge. A healthy, warmth-loving tree which prefers a limy soil. Its Central-European origin means it tolerates our winters better than other Quercus hispanica cultivars.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2025.
