Rosaceae

Prunus armeniaca 'Tros Oranje' Prunus armeniaca 'Tros Oranje'

'Truss Orange' is an apricot tree with a semi-open, flattened spherical crown. The tree grows 4-6 m tall. The tree flowers around mid-March to early April. The flowers are very light pink to almost white. The apricots are relatively small, making them easier to ripen in the temperate and maritime climate of north-western Europe. The fruits ripen in August and can be used both for direct consumption and for storage. The smaller fruit size makes apricots very suitable for storage. The skin is deep yellow to light orange and the flesh is firm and tastes pleasantly sweet. 'Truss Orange' is a self-pollinating variety and generally produces a lot of fruit, which also makes it popular with consumers. Cross-pollination with other trees will only enhance production. Hardiness zone 6a.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2025.
