The Malus 'Braendkjaer', a Danish cultivar also known as Malus baccata 'Braendkjaer', is a rounded, upright tree reaching a height of 4 to 6 meters. Its trunk has a brown coloration. The oval leaves are glossy dark green to purple, turning a vibrant yellow in autumn.

In April and May, large blossoms emerge, pink in bud and turning white when fully open. The tree produces deep red fruits, measuring 1.5 to 2 centimeters, which remain on the tree until December. This robust tree thrives in nutrient-rich, well-drained soils. Hardiness zone: 3.
