A broad weeping tree with a height of 4 - 6 m. The twigs are thin and the leaves narrow and glossy green. 'Gracilis' flowers in May, producing small white flowers with a diameter of approx. 3 - 4 cm. In the bud they are dark red. The flowers are single. The yellow fruit, that later turns more orange and measures approx. 1 cm in diameter, appears after flowering. The tree makes heavy demands on the soil as regards moisture supply and fertility. For planting in parks and small gardens.
