Magnolia sieboldii Magnolia sieboldii

Magnoliaceae

Magnolia sieboldii Magnolia sieboldii

Large, densely branching shrub, growing after many years into a small tree with a round crown. Grows to around 4 m high and wide. The obovate to elliptical leaves are blue-green in colour, especially on young shoots. The large, nodding flowers, about 10 cm in size, only open around late June/early July. They have a delightful, citrus-like fragrance and consist of 9 pure white petals. The pistils are green but the stamens are pink with dark red, contrasting beautifully with the white flowers. A splendid species from China, Korea and Japan. Its shrub-like nature makes it suitable for parks and gardens.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2025.
