Hamamelis ×intermedia 'Angelly' Hamamelis ×intermedia 'Angelly'

Hamamelidaceae

Hamamelis ×intermedia 'Angelly' Hamamelis ×intermedia 'Angelly'

Relatively slow growing, fairly sturdy shrub, very occasionally a small tree. Has a regular, vase-shaped form, reinforced by its compact growth and dense branching pattern. The flowers are an intense bright yellow and, with a diameter of almost 4.5 cm, are among the biggest in the Hamamelis genus. They have hardly any fragrance, but this is more than compensated by the profuse blossoming. Flowers fairly late in the season, usually around mid-February/early March. Was named in 1985 by J.H.M. van Heijningen of Breda, the Netherlands, after his daughters Angeline and Elly.
