The light green, compound leaf is 15 - 20 cm large and has a finely and sharply serrated margin. It is odd-pinnate with 11 - 13 leaflets. In Autumn it turns strikingly yellow. Does not bear fruits. Is used as a park tree and in wide green belts. The tree has few soil requirements and can withstand drought. Good wind resistance. Winter hardiness zone: 6b
