Crataegus chlorosarca is a little used tree with a columnar to narrow pyramidal crown and a height of approx. 6 - 7 m. The reddish-brown branches are only seldom thorny. The dark green leaves, broad oval, with 7 - 11 lobes and irregular serrations, emerge early in the year. The flowers, creamy white and in umbels, emerge in May. After flowering the tree produces a few round black fruits approx. 1 cm in diameter. Particularly suited for narrow streets and gardens. Winter hardiness zone: 6
