Architect, Alfredo De Gregorio fell in love with a beautiful castle in Tongeren that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. When he bought and refurbished it, he decided he would restore the original atmosphere of the time. He also tackled and rejuvenated the surrounding park. Tuinen Daenen Bvba laid the accents and in the immediate surroundings of the castle, more greenery was planted. At the front, a multi-stem Pterocatya fraxinifolia and an unusual species of oak, Quercus castaneifolia were planted. At the side, two Zelkova carpinifolia flank the entrance and a new, feathered red beech can be seen from the castle.
