In the spring of 2012, the Kriens municipal swimming pool was thoroughly cleaned. This outdoor pool offers a stunning view of the Alps. The surrounding lawns were planted with trees to provide sufficient shade for the bathers. A variety of trees from the first category, including Castanea sativa, Liriodendron tulipifera, Quercus petraea, Carpinus betulus and Koelreuteria paniculata, was selected. The trees were planted in size 40-45.
