This park was created in order to function as a green buffer zone between various, extremely tall, office buildings overlooking the river Thames. Each day, the Tube station in the middle of the park handles thousands of commuters who can stop and rest amongst the Metasequoia trees in this green oasis. The tallest of these trees are 12 to 14 metres high.
