Greenery plays a key role in the Eurovea City project in Bratislava—not only as a landscape element, but also as a means of shaping high-quality public space. Trees at the entrances to residential, office and retail buildings are not just decorative additions; they have a strong impact on the atmosphere of the place.
Selected species such as Acer rubrum 'Red Sunset', Tilia cordata, Pyrus calleryana 'Chanticleer' and Betula utilis 'Jacquemontii' were planted with trunk girths of 25–30 cm and 30–35 cm, while multi-stem trees reach heights of 500–600 cm. Thanks to these dimensions, the plantings act as mature and established greenery that naturally complements and defines the character of the space from day one.
The trees enhance not only the entrance plaza but also the riverside promenade, where they form a relaxing zone with lawns and seating. High-quality greenery in urban environments brings practical benefits—it increases the attractiveness of the location not only for residents but also for visitors to restaurants and shops, thus boosting vibrancy and bringing economic advantages.
Eurovea City demonstrates that urban greenery is not just a matter of aesthetics, but a vital element that raises the value and livability of public space.
