A good Sorbus latifolia selection with a faster growth rate and a narrow pyramidal crown. Height up to 12 m. The trunk is grey and rougher than that of the species: the young twigs are reddish-brown with white hairs. The broad, ovoid to almost round, sturdy, leathery leaves are glossy green and, on the underside, yellowish-green with felt-like hairs. The young emerging leaves also bear white felt-like hairs. The leaves are slightly more broadly serrated than those of the species. In late May the umbels of creamy white flowers appear. In the late summer numerous brownish-red to orange-yellow berries emerge. Fairly resistant to bacterial fire blight. Very resistant to wind. Winter hardiness zone: 5a
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2025.
