Prunus serrulata 'Pink Perfection' resembles 'Kanzan' but its twigs are softer, which makes the fan-shaped to rounded crown droop more. Height approx. 8 m with a width of approx. 5 m. The dark green elliptical leaves emerge a light bronze colour. They grow to 8 - 10 cm and the leaf edge is double serrated. The flowers are pure pink and turn somewhat lighter. The unopened buds are a dark reddish-pink. Produces flowers of approx. 3 cm in April. Seldom produces fruit. Winter hardiness zone: 6a Prunus serrulata 'Pink Perfection' is an abundantly flowering cultivar whose branches become pendulous at a later stage. The tree is best shown when planted in groups.
