Magnolia stellata 'Royal Star' Magnolia stellata 'Royal Star'

Usually a big shrub but sometimes grafted onto a trunk to generate a small tree with a round crown. Grows more vigorously than other in the species. Branches very densely, eventually becoming about 4 m wide. The mid-green leaf is slightly glossy. The teardrop-shaped flower buds have soft hairs and are visible on the plant before winter. On opening, the star-shaped flowers are silvery, soft pink. The fully opened flowers are pure white. They can consist of 25 petals, giving the flowers a nice ‘full’ look. Even young plants bear many flowers. Suitable for use in parks and gardens.
