Carpinus betulus 'A. Beeckman' Carpinus betulus 'A. Beeckman'

Betulaceae

Carpinus betulus 'A. Beeckman' Carpinus betulus 'A. Beeckman'

Medium-size tree, initially with columnar growth pattern and a straight main stem. As it grows older, the tree broadens and develops heavier branches. Young trees are fast growing. Unlike others of the species, the bright green leaf always has a double serrated margin. In autumn it turns deep golden yellow. Because the tree bears only male catkins, no fruits are formed. Root growth is relatively close to the surface. The rotted leaves are good soil improvers. ‘A. Beeckman’ is suitable for use in streets and housing estates, but the slender shape can also have architectural value in gardens and parks.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2025.
