The redevelopment of the historic Stationspostgebouw in The Hague, combined with the construction of the new Postpark, is a major step in the renewal of the HS Quarter. Close to Hollands Spoor and the cultural centre, the HS Quarter is a place for everyone: students, families, working people and the elderly. Here you will find a mix of living, working and leisure.
We supplied a diversity of multi-stemmed trees for this project: Quercus cerris of 800-900 cm, Sorbus aucuparia of 450-500 cm, Carpinus betulus of 600-700 cm, and Betula pendula of 700-800 cm.
These trees are important for greening the urban environment. They promote water infiltration and contribute to a variety of greenery, making The Hague's cityscape more climate-proof. The results were already noticeable last summer, on summer days the temperature was up to five degrees cooler than the urban environment.
