For the Kaiserswerther Markt in Düsseldorf, we supplied 22 multi-stem specimens of Prunus 'The Bride', pruned and ranging from 300 to 350 cm in height. Due to archaeological findings on site, planting directly in the ground was not possible. To green the square nonetheless, the ornamental cherries were placed in large, dark grey planters that complement the surroundings.

The trees are planted in a specially formulated substrate that supports healthy growth even under restricted conditions. This project demonstrates how tailored solutions and detailed knowledge of varieties can lead to successful greening, even in challenging locations.

Prunus 'The Bride' was selected for its high ornamental value throughout the year. In April, before the leaves emerge, it impresses with a profusion of white blossoms. The foliage then appears bronze-green and turns fresh green in summer. In autumn, it offers a vibrant display of orange, red, and purple hues. This makes the tree a striking feature in the urban landscape all year round.
