Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park, was opened on 10 May, 2019. The park is a gift from Mikayel and Karen Vardanyan on the 2800th anniversary of the foundation of Yerevan city. It has been developed on the territory of the decayed English Park. It took six months to design the park and another eighteen months to build it. According to the new architectural design during construction the park underwent drastic changes, even replacing the soil in the park. The green area of the park extends over 7,500 square metres. A total of 369 trees of 70 species have been planted in the park. Almost half of them were supplied by Van den Berk Nurseries. All the trees were personally selected by the client in the nursery's fields. Emphasis was placed on large clearstem trees of an exclusive assortment with a pronounced decorative effect. Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park is decorated by such exotic trees for Armenia as Paulownia tomentosa, Liriodendron tulipifera, Prunus serrulata 'Fugenzo', Laburnum ‘Golden Rain’, Chitalpa tashkentensis 'Pink Dawn', Davidia Involucrata and others. Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park is well-deserved favourite recreational area for Yerevan residents and tourists.
