Wide range of trees

20.796 trees in one nursery

Specialised in large batches and sizes
Van den Berk Nurseries is strong in many areas. Specialised might be a better word: specialised in a wide range. Large batches, an enormous selection of varieties from mini to mega. If we take a closer look at four favourites from the range we come to the conclusion that no tree is too big for Van den Berk Nurseries

Platanus

Our stock of Platanus tops everything. The popular Platanus x acerifolia, the normal tree, suddenly becomes a lot more special when you consider that Van den Berk Nurseries has 9,719 in the nursery. Each and every one is in perfect condition and perfect shape. In sizes 12-14 to 160-180. This variety of tree is a jack of all trades. Van den Berk Nurseries has them in pollard, trained and canopy shapes, and even as shrubs or in multi-trunk canopy shapes. The extensive range of potential uses and great popularity of this tree mean that more and more varieties are being added to the Platanacae family.

A registered selection of the nursery is the Platanus x acerifolia ‘Mr. X’, with an exceptionally uniform growth and extremely straight trunk. Furthermore, this cultivar is more resistant to Gnomonia errabunda. Including all varieties, there is a total stock of 20,796 trees. This enormous range of sizes and quantities is unequalled by any other grower.

Magnolia kobus

The Magnolia kobus is very popular due to its beautiful white flowers and pink seeds. This tree thrives in parks, public gardens and on avenues and streets and flowers wonderfully in the spring.

And this is certainly the case when you visit the nursery, because Van den Berk Nurseries has a large number of Magnolia kobus in stock. Van den Berk Nurseries can supply the Magnolia kobus in almost any size. Even size 90-100 is not a problem for the nursery, and we also have no problems with supplying large numbers of trees of this size. A flowering Magnolia kobus is an exceptional sight. The white flowers appear on the bare wood in March/April. No leaves obstruct the view of the pearl white oval sphere. The actual flowers are no less than 10 cm in diameter. Magnolia kobus is immensely popular amongst landscape architects and gardeners for good reason.

Ginkgo biloba

The Ginkgo biloba originated in China. This tree existed 250 million years ago and has survived many eras, including that of the dinosaurs. A strong family that is highly resistant to air pollution. Van den Berk Nurseries can supply the Ginkgo biloba in very small to extremely large sizes.

Both trees with pruned runks and trees with branches in sizes 12-14 to 160-180. Furthermore, Van den Berk Nurseries has a wide range of refined varieties. Varieties that grow in unusual ways or have different leaf shapes receive our special attention.
We also stock the Ginkgo biloba in various shapes, e.g. canopy or trained. Come and admire the multitude of variants at our nursery.
