Station square
Apeldoorn
Station square in Apeldoorn has been given a makeover.
The station square is the entrance to the city and highlights
Apeldoorn as a modern city in the Veluwe region. Sixty
conifers in yellow paving are a direct reference to the landscape.
49 size 50-60 tall trunk Pinus sylvestris were planted
in this square in the 2005-2006 season. The plant construction
was a special feature of this project. A great deal has been
invested in the growth of these trees. The trees are planted in
concrete bunkers.

Oldehoofsterkerkhof Leeuwarden
The large square in front of Leeuwarden town hall has been
completely transformed into a multifunctional square. An underground
car park has been constructed under the square,
making parking on the square almost impossible.
In addition to the eye-catcher on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof, the
leaning tower, several types of trees were selected, namely
Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Unifoliola’, Acer saccharinum and Acer
saccharinum ‘Laciniatum Wieri’ and Platanus acerifolia ‘Tremonia’. A number of trees including Sophora japonica,
Magnolia kobus and Quercus frainetto ‘Forest Green’ were
planted around the square. |

Municipality of Groningen
Two large trees were planted
on the station square in Groningen
in the winter of 2006.
These trees are sunk into the
roof of the bicycle parking garage.
A size 100-120 Quercus
palustris and a size 120-140
Acer saccharinum were selected.
The council selected such
large trees because the trunk
had to be free of branches to
a height of 7 metres. These 7
metres of branch-free trunk
is topped by an impressive
crown. The council selected these trees at the nursery three
years ago.

Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum Leiden
The fact hospitals have quality as a high priority
is also evident in the decoration of the exterior
space at the Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum.
Each of the 41 Corten steel containers contains
a solitary Cercidiphyllum japonicum. Shrubs
were selected by the principal at our nursery. |

Municipality of Weert
The centre of Weert was renovated last spring. Two large roof/Pollard sycamores
were planted at the Oelemarkt. The large size immediately gave this market
square a mature and
intimate image. Eighteen trained lime trees were planted at the Korenmarkt. Re-using old trees
immediately gave this market a mature look that people could enjoy straight away.

Industrial estate
Trade Port A58 Tilburg
At the planned Trade Port A58 industrial estate it was been
decided to plant trees before building the business premises.
This will immediately give the industrial estate a green look.
The planting consisted of a combination of Quercus robur ‘Fastigiata Van den Berk’ and undergrowth of holly.
The type Quercus robur ‘Fastigiata Van den Berk’ is special
because it keeps its green leaves for longer in the autumn, and
also keeps its brown leaves for longer in the winter. |

De Woerd
new construction project
That project developers take the exterior space seriously is
clearly visible in the De Woerd new Construction project in De
Meern. Using heavier trees, varying from sizes 16-18 to 90-100
allows the residents to enjoy the exterior space immediately.
Effective collaboration between the principal, parks contractor
and our company allowed the project to be completed successfully,
with all trees thriving. |
